Although Kurt is out really early in the morning, he is not a baker or a snow groomer driver. Kurt is a LOGISTICS driver at INTERSPORT Maria Alm. As a link in all of our seven shops, he has a really important task to do, he makes sure that ALL service skis and snowboards are in the shops punctually in the morning at 8:30 a.m. after they Were sanded the evening before.
Kurt is a great guy and we are very happy that he is with us. You have to imagine that, it’s not that easy. Our service network comprises seven shops at different locations “all over” Maria Alm and the Hochkönig region. The driving routes can be challenging in winter driving conditions. No problem for Kurt, he knows his cars inside out, after all, he maintains his fleet very personally.
Armed with Sprinter or VW Bus
Kurt goes to work and he is active when you don’t notice any of it. While you are sitting comfortably in the sauna, fidgeting at après-ski or flirting at dinner for two, Kurt is on the streets between Maria Alm, Hinterthal, Aberg valley station and co .. His transporters are full, he says all ordered and reserved sporting goods for customers from the main warehouse to the shops and ensures, for example. to ensure that there are enough rental helmets, rental poles, rental skis, rental snowboards, etc. available in all shops at all times.
A real Swiss Army knife …
Logistics is not all that Kurt gets on the line, if there is time between his trips, he turns to our Thaler service machine and grinds, waxes, tunes and repairs skis, snowboards & co. If on a perfect day of skiing you have the feeling that your equipment is running really well, then it was probably our Kurt, at least he made sure that your equipment was reliably waiting for you early in the morning. We like to call our Kurt a SWISS ARMY KNIFE, he can do everything, does everything, is fast and reliable and the beauty of Kurt, he does everything very quietly and always with a smile on his face.
