how can I help you today? “… this is our Flo, always friendly, always helpful and always highly motivated. Loyal Bike Point customers are probably already familiar with him, Flo is our 3rd year apprentice and feels himself to be “Pudelwohl” in the Bike Point team, he told us why!
Hello Flo, how are you at Bike Point?
You, everything is fine and everything is great. I am in the 3rd year of apprenticeship and have to say that the apprenticeship at Bike Point Maria Alm was the best decision I could make. In winter the focus of my work is on ski rental and in my free time I am skiing. In the summer my hour strikes, cycling and mountain biking is my real passion and I think it’s really cool that I can turn my passion into a job at the Bike Point.
What are you doing at the bike point, what are your tasks?
For an apprentice – and that motivates me fully – I now do a lot of responsible work. From classic bike service to building the most expensive racing equipment for customers, I am with me everywhere. I learn a lot and I learn quickly and my colleagues let me work anywhere. I really appreciate that, the boys show me new tricks and tricks about mountain bikes, e-bikes and racing bikes every day.
What is particularly important to you in your work?
Dealing with people is particularly good for me. I am constantly dealing with colleagues and customers and the right “tone” makes the music here, I learned that straight away and that is easy for me. The well-being of Bike Point customers always comes first, because I like being surrounded by sporty, motivated people all the time, the job is just right for me.
Mountain biking is your thing right?
You can put poison on it, I love biking and I also like to work on bikes of all kinds. Cleanliness and accuracy are of great importance, also exactly my thing. As a biker, I know that there is nothing worse than a bike that crashes, squeaks or something grinds on. That is why it is clear to me: after the service, each bike is checked twice by one of my colleagues and then tested. This is how I get to test drive the best and most expensive devices.
What does your dream bike look like? Is there such a thing?
Since I come into contact with many bikes, I already have a good overview. ENDURO is the perfect bike category for me. Fun and action on trails is at the top of my list, so the SCOTT RANSOM comes very close to my dream bike and when I do it on the rear wheel over the forecourt Chasing Bike Point is not difficult to understand: I HAVE A REALLY COOL JOB!
